[QUOTE=Windscreen,May 1 2007, 08:01 AM]By my numbers, rev limit speed in 1st/2nd:

245/45zr16 = 43/66
275/45zr16 = 45/69

So, the rev limit corner radius for 1st gear increases from 103 ft to 112 ft.

Also, you make a point I was hoping to not have to broach by myself -- if you're not pushing the car hard enough in corners, you won't get wheelspin because you're not pulling enough Gs to pick up the inside rear.
No problem there As I said, I'm already doing well, but obviously not national champion type well. If there wasn't more time left out there for me, then I would have quit already

I do find it interesting that Aruch caught your attention with the 275/45's enough for you to consider trying them at a test and tune. Was he not typically that close to you before until he changed the tire size?
Aruch generally drives quite well, and on occasion beats me. Last year he had an issue with FSB brackets that he didn't discover until after Nationals.

The thing that really got my attention was that I thought I was driving very well, certainly better than any other season opener after the long winter drought. He had raw times to take the win, but for cones. It also helped that I was on the rev limiter in 2nd on two spots on the course, which is why I haven't gone and bought a set yet. We'll see how things shake out on some slower courses before I jump into the deep end.
