It's going to be hard to kill wheelspin on an AP1 with stock shocks, especially if you're hoping to go softer on the swaybar settings.

I am running the Gendron solid bar at full stiff with 245 all around and Penske shocks set very stiff, and that's generally good for no wheelspin on my AP2. Rather than spinning the inside rear, it slips the rear end around. I really like the balance. It makes for some fun driving, although I can't say for sure whether it's faster or slower.

I understand that windscreen is running a custom larger-diameter center section on the Gendron bar with the 245-all-around setup on his AP1. He's also running Penske shocks.

For those running 245s on all 4 corners, how is the balance? Do you have to stiffen the front bar beyond it's normal adjustment range? (I run the Gendron bar.)
Last year I was on stock shocks with the V710's (225/265) and experienced rear wheel lift several times with the Saner FSB on full factory stiff setting.

To address this issue for this year, I have installed a used set of OTS Koni Sports (starting with one full turn from softest setting front and back). I also just this past week mounted the Hankook Z214 C70 with 245/45-16' s on all four corners... plus I will add 5mm spacers up front. The used Saner FSB was modified with an additional stiffer setting than what normally comes with the bar, so before this weekend's autoX, I am going to give that setting a try and see how it does.

Anyway, I am hoping that I stay very planted/level and remain neutral in the handling. We will see if that is the case hope I can adjust tire pressure and rebound setting accordingly.

I had a Saner bar and could not get rid of the wheelspin with shock settings no matter what I tried (and this was on A3S03s, which aren't as sticky as V710s or A6s). I ended up drilling a stiffer hole in the bar, which fixed all of my wheelspin issues.

Have they changed the Saner bar recently or something? I've been running the one I got last summer with Hoosier A3S05's on the middle setting and had no wheel spin.

Either that, or I don't know what wheelspin in a S2000 feels like. Under what conditions does this usually happen?

That's great news that drilling a stiffer hole in the Saner bar has been done before and works well. Anything I need to watch out for by going this way with the bar, or did it work without any issue?

BTW, that's amazing that you got your wheel to lift on the A3S03s!

Thanks for sharing your experience with this FSB.

The symptom that I am associating with wheel spin is while in a hard sweeper I start to accelerate but all I get is higher RPMs but no extra speed. Kinda like when the clutch is slipping.

That's the info I was looking for, though I'm still having trouble visualizing how so much weight is getting transfered off the rear wheel during acceleration (maybe I'm being unwittingly helped out by my hitch bar )

Most of our courses here have been devoid of such features, I'll keep an eye out for the wheel spin if we get some of those in the future. I suppose I better start brining the wrenches for my bar to the track, too.

I run the 225/265 Kumho V710s with the Gendron bar full stiff. On occasion, I've experienced wheelspin with this setup. It isn't so much "during acceleration." On tight turns the body roll will cause the inside rear wheel to pick up, you just don't notice it until you try to accelerate off the corner.
