Hoosier A6 sizes in 16 inch, front, rear?
After considerable inactivity it's time for me to buy new tires. I'm planning on getting Hoosier A6s, and if I recall correctly, a size combination that worked well at Nationals in '06 was 245/45 on the front, and 275/45 on the rear. These are 16" tires, for a 2000 model. It seems that Greg Lee was one of the people on this size combination. I ran 225s on the front and 245s on the rear (710s), and as I recall, I might have been the only person running on 225s. I have a solid custom bar, so the car should balance farily well if I maintain a size differential. Also, any advice on tire pressures for the A6s would be appreciated.

Haven't heard of AP1's running 275 on the rear (seems way too big). I've always seen/heard of 225 in the front and 245 in the rear, or 245 all around.
Also, how did you manage to get 245 width 16" 710's? I've only seen 225/50 and 265/45 in the 710's.

CobraTi: You are correct. I was in error in stating the sizes of my 710s. They are 225/50 in the front, and 265/45 in the rear.
Kaolinte: Could you be more specific as to what you mean by: "All of this info is in the Autocross sticky at the top of the page." If you mean the S2000 autocross setup faq, I failed to find the information in that location. Where are you suggesting I look? PedalFaster's post does not address the issue I raise. He only states that most people have run the Hoosiers in the combination of 225 front, 245 rear. I see no mention of running 255/50 or 275/45 on the rear.
Krazik: I guess if the 275 fits on the rear, and Wynveen has run the 245s on the front, there is a chance the 245 front, 275 rear combination could work.

I'm guessing that nobody has considered the 255 or 275 16" tires because (a) the 275 is nearly 1" larger in diameter and the 255 is 1.5" larger, and (b) a 275 probably won't put much more tread on the pavement than a 245 when mounted on a 7.5" wide wheel.

So, is there any agreement on whether 225/245 or 245/245 is better (on stock shocks with Comptech adjustable FSB)?
I'm going to trade in my V710's for Hoosier's. I've been running 225/265, but I'm not real happy. I've got to run the fsb so stiff to keep the inside rear tire down that the car pushes. I'm hoping to size the new tires so that I can achieve neutral handling without inside rear lift.
