Hey! Driving fast on a track is really FUN!!

Thanks Speedventures and Buttonwillow, I had a great time! Well I've been wanting to do this since I got my car last May and man oh man it was great. I now see where the term "track addict" comes from.
Special thanks to Doug Hayashi for showing me the line. Aaron and John, great job. I'm sure the fog was a bit frustrating to deal with but it seemed like people had a great time despite having a slow start. Also wanted to give you guys props on the new instruction process, I thought it worked great!
Pretty wild ending to the day when on the last yellow group run after making the Riverside turn (edit: I originally identified this as Magic Mountain but it was Riverside) I see something off to the left. I thought it was some kind of tractor or something and I'm thinking to myself - that's weird, don't remember seeing that there before. I keep looking as I go by and then I realize - it's Ford Focus....UPSIDE DOWN!!! This kind of freaked me out as I watched the guy crawl out of his car in my mirror!! At least he was OK. (I drove pretty easy on my last 2 laps of that run.
I could go on and on about how much fun this was and how much I learned but instead I'll just say this. If you've ever thought about tracking your car or just want to get t know your car better and improve your ability to drive it - TAKE YOUR CAR TO A TRACK! You won't regret it.
Finally, it was great to meet many of you like Unabagler, Doug, Aaron, John, and Dave K. (who was really fast this day)
Thanks again,
jd

A driving school in November???
We had an ice storm here this past weekend and many of us have their S2000s in the garage under a blankie for 4 to 5 more months....
Yup johnnydev, I'm sorry to inform you there is no cure. The rest of your life will now be spent thinking about a few basic things, how much fun the last school was and when the next school will be. Welcome to the addiction.

rlaifatt,
Well have a blast, I'll be back here in a snow bank saving up for things I need for next year, like wheels, r-compounds, brake pads, fresh rotors, a small trailer, a towing hitch, you know, stuff like that......

There's alot of things I've done once or twice and had fun and that's it...
...I don't think this will be one of them!

Speedventures is planning to come down to southern Georgia in January. Maybe some of you northerners can get your next fix then .

Stick a fork in Johnny, he's done
Yes, all these things are normal. Driving this car (or any performance vehicle) the way to was meant to be driven, without the worries of traffic, lights, phone poles and SUV's is a mind-altering experience. Just go with it...have fun...and start saving your pennies for R-compounds
Triple-H: Vegas baby...driving school in January! 60 degrees, open wheelers, I had no choice
