That all depends on the requirements of the sanctioning body you race with. Some will accept Snell "M" rated helmets for some classes, some require Snell "SA" helmets etc. Typically for autocross an "M" helmet is OK. Wheel to wheel requires SA, and HPDE or TA! are usually a mix.

I've purchased the SA rated helmet.
I want to try a track day event with MVP but they require
SA helmets. I ended up ordering the full face G Force helmet from
Saferacer. I gambled because I've never tried one on before
the purchase. Fortunately, it fits great and it's lighter than I thought
it would be! It seems like a really good helmet for the price.
