I have always and only had fullface helmets, and I'm sure that's because I'm also a motorcyclist.
I have been very happy with my G-Force Pro Force 1 Helmet (SA2005)
Lightweight Z38 Kevlar/Fiberglass Composite Shell, only $249 from Racer Wholesale.

Disregard the price point issue and get the one that fits your head the best. I ahve used HJC, SHOEI, and ARAI.. I like Arai because it fits the shape of my head. Some of the helmets may have nice features like washable liner or easily removable face shield or even better venting than another..
I used them for motorcycle and car. Fitment is the key issue. You can have a $200 dollar helmet that feels better than a $1000.00 one..

The exception is if you don't think you'll be doing this for a decade....

I have a Bell M4 in flat black and really like it. It's very important to get one that fits properly. If you are dead set on buying it online, at least try to try a few on at a local shop, preferably the model you are interested in. You'd be surprized how much difference there is among "medium"'s from brand to brand, even model to model from the same company. A loose helmet is dangerous, too tight and you'll hate it.

The problem with me is that I'm having a difficult time finding a place locally that has a SA rated helmet I can try on. I might have to roll the dice and order one online and
hope it fits well. At least I know my size (XL).

I have a Bell SA rated, but I am considering Pyrotect for my next one. They have replacable liners. If you use your helmet very much you will wear out the lining.

I was surprised to find this out considering how similar they look!
