Has anyone spent time at Bondurant?
Hey,
I'll be headed out to Bondurant in November to do the 3 day Racing school class and was wondering if anyone local or any racers in here have spent time in the facility.
Just looking for any feedback! Thanks. Also, if anyone wants to take the plunge, I think they have a few spots left. PM me for details.

I went last December. Great group of guys and lots of track time. Really depends on your level of experience too, the 3 day entry school is just that at the start with going over driving line, working everyone up to the larger track session after session. We had several guys that didn't have any track time in their life so that made it hard to get clean laps sessions. At the same time, everyone can still learn a thing or too. You will have a great time.

I live 20 minutes from Bondurant. I attended the Grand Prix class in the middle of our hot summer. They offer discounts during this time. We drove Corvettes and they were a blast. The instructors are among the best. Had a great time.
Being a new road racer my expectations were unrealistic when it came to getting my race license. I thought after 3 days of training I would be ready. Wrong again. It's taken me about a year with NASA and PRO instructors to get ready for comp day, this October. The instructors I've had locally are are on the same level as Bondurant. You get a better feel for the real thing when your driving with different cars.
I was surprised to see the change in Chrysler products at Bondurant. The Vetts and Camaros were great. Not sure about Dodge??
Have fun!

Interesting that this came up. I am looking into this as well. I have been doing TTs for 2-3 years now so I may know a thing or two?
My concern is that I may not learn as much as I would in the advanced classes, but you need to take this first and then move up. Thoughts or feedback on that?

I took the GP class, couple days in the Vette's and the last day in the Formula Mazda.
Was some of the most fun I've had.
I was a very experienced road racer at the time, but... on motorcycles. I was a bonified expert motorcycle road racer but never got behind the wheel of a car. Once I figured out the heel toe it was great.
It can be unfortunate depending on what your group consists of, because some guys have no experiance of any kind. This was a blessing in disguise for me because being an experienced racer I wanted to go fast but since we weren't allowed to pass I had to sit back and just practice my mechanics. The formula mazda is worth every extra penny.

Most of the reason why I'm taking this particular class is because of the transition from Chevy to Dodge products. Since I'm a new Viper owner I figured this would be the place to really understand how to put down 645hp on the track, in a safe environment with seasoned instruction that know these Snakes real well.
Unfortunately, the 4 day class with the Mazda race cars was booked and I had to settle for the 3 day class in the T/A 2.0's.
Thanks for the feedback!
I'm hoping in 2 years time I'll be heading back to Bondurant and sign up for the advanced class, as long as SRT still is there. If not, I guess I'll settle for whatever they have that would be equivalent to an ACR.

We all are not privlaged to have King Tut's walking around at every event. . No brainer here.
Next year I hope to split time in the Snake and S2. S2 for smaller tracks and the snake for bigger tracks.
It will be a fun year on the track in 2017.
