Get this bar. It's very high quality, looks much nicer, and is probably a lot safer than cutting the stock bulkhead.

It's quite heavy for what it is...I am considering taking mine out and making my wife use a harness once the car becomes a more dedicated TT car. I'd rather put my ballast weight down low. It's great for the street, though!

I think I could probably have my friend make me something similar that weights a lot less. I feel like the piece might be a little over built. I think the factory bulkhead is only so sturdy b/c of how many things connect to it and it probably stiffens up the car a bit. Once you have a real rollbar in the car it's structural aspect becomes irrelevant and it's nothing more than a piece to attach interior pieces.

I'll probably get lazy and cave and just buy it though for convenience sake.
