Hard Dog Roll Bar

This is because the single diagonal is the only one which is certified/legal in different racing leagues (SCCA, etc), from what I've read. If you're not going to be competing, then either one will be fine and will be allowed on pretty much any track for track days.

You can't "compete" with just a roll bar unless you're talking time trial then ANY after market roll bar is ok to meet TT standards.
Even if you decide to do a cage in the future it's usually better and cheaper to remove the Hard Dog and sell it and have the cage built from scratch.
I'm not that crazy about the looks of the dual diagonal but I seriously doubt you'd have any trouble doing anything on track short of wheel-to-wheel racing.

Ok...well I would think I am a long way from racing...so I guess you are saying this is the main concern with single vs. double? Right now I just want to get out there and drive.
So it looks like the main advantage of the double diagonal then is rear visibility and ability to still use glovebox/secret compartment?

^ Awesome! Is that the welded diagonal? I can see how it might be nice to be able to remove it to drive around on the street but I don't think it will be in the way too much. Thank you for the pictures.
