Halo Seats Part II
#21
Are there any issues with egress with halo seats in an S2000? I stayed away from a halo seat in my 944 for that reason (in that car, unless you reposition the steering wheel, pedals, and shifter, you sit too far forward to get out the window without being able to slide a halo seat back (which you can't count on after a wreck)). I'm 5'9".

For a tall driver, with the seat all the way back, there is plenty of room between the front of the halo and the a-pillar to squeeze a body through.
A shorter driver has the seat much further forward in order to reach the pedals. Now, the distance between the front of the halo and a-pillar may make it difficult to fit a body through (even though it is a smaller body). And even if the seat is on sliders, one can't count on being able to move the seat back after a wreck.
This was the problem in the 944.

Anytime, hope it helps.
Leg room wise, I feel I could have a few more inches, but it was the same with the stock seat. Sitting lower really helps, so the Recaro PP and this seat feels great.
The shoulder holes are at the perfect height once you remove the bottom cushion. The cushion on this seat is REALLY thick and makes you sit much higher. I am using the Recaro PP's cushions (which are two pieces) and feels better as I sit lower. When I race, Ill take at the "butt"cushion (furthest back one) and just keep the "leg" (front one). This supports my legs and you sit lower.
Over all, the seat feels really good.
For rails, Im using the F1 Spec low rails, they are basically the BC low rails.
NOTE: I modified the HT a bit where the halo touches. Had to shave it down, cut into it. Turned out nicely, but ill need to go back in for a second shaving as its still touching a tiny bit.
