[QUOTE=eurotrashdtm,Jul 3 2008, 09:06 AM] I'm not so sure its a poser wing, though many posers run it. Just because data available is in Japanese doesn't mean its not out there. Visually comparing a Voltex type I to a GTC-200, it is my opinion that the main element on the Voltex is more suited towards an S2000 (given it is mounted at roof line). What I would like to know is, if a 3D wing is even necessary in a car built around no rules, being you can mount it anywhere you want. Why doesn't anybody run proper aerofoils built by aero companies like Crawford or Pennon....

I already have another trunk. I originally mounted this onto my OEM trunk and ran with that for a while. I now have an Asuka CF trunk. I need a little more space, so i'm tryign to get rid of my OEM trunk and want to mount the wing on my Asuka. I don't mind the looks at all...it's just that I don't know if it's worth having such an expensive piece if it doesn't do anything. Pretty much everything on my car has some kind of functional value...and i'd like to keep it that way.
I feel the same way about my seats...

My car isn't a full-race car and it's more a less a hobby. That being said, ideally, i'd like a wing that was aestethically pleasing as well as functional. Pennon/Crawford airfoils are ugly
Given its a hobby car, you def went with the most expensive option... I think you just have not seen a properly executed above said wing on an S. I can't argue aesthetics with though, that subjective.

I had never even considered getting a wing...but the deal i got it for was disgustingly good that i jumped on it before anyone else could

I love my seats... and they actually hold more than some other full buckets I've sat in, but I think the GIAS (Especially a pair) was a little unnecessary. VIOS III would have been a better option.

Ok, back to the subject
Here's the rational thinking: Mount the wing... I'm pretty sure it's not gonna make you slower (Unless you start doing runs at the salt flats) and you'll probably end up losing money if you sell it so just put it on.

^^I was actualy thinking about that just now. I'll probably end up putting it on, doing experiments myself, then come back to this thread and answer my own question
