Bump for any sort of information on the resolution to the problem with the bars. When are the clamps going to ship?

Well I'm pleased to inform everyone that the roll bar works as intended, though I'm not so pleased as to why I know this.

At Road America this weekend, I had my driver front brake line fail going into Canada Corner. For those not familiar with Road America, Canada Corner is a 90 degree corner at the end of the fastest straight on the course.

I'm usually hitting about 130 before braking, and in this case I got a bit of pedal pressure, and then "snap" and pedal went to the floor, but yet I had a tiny tiny bit of braking still from the rear. In any case, my hands still decided that they wanted to turn in for the corner despite the speed being way too high, and well you can see the rest in the photo gallery below.

What's amazing is how little damage there was, and in fact I spent the rest of the day Saturday trying to locate a new brake line fitting that would allow me to get some more track time. I ended up not being able to find such, but patched up the brakes enough and drove home.

Thanks for the roll bar test and glad you are OK! So did the S instantly turn into a dedicated track car?

Wow, I am sorry hear about your bad luck, and happy to hear about the good luck.

That is a scary corner even WITH brakes. I have seen so many people lock them up there. Looking closely now that I have read the story I can clearly see only three skid marks

Safety equipment FTW.

Glad to see your okay!

Maybe GoFastLab should sponsor you next time since you inadvertantly tested their rollbar.
