Well actually, this is a complaint a few of us had this weekend. Maybe a guide bar of sorts can be fab'd up? Harness felt a bit funky being mounted that high up.

We will do our best to resolve this issue in the following manner:
1) If you intend on removing the factory rollhoops for weight savings, we can offer a pair of clamps as pictured above. This way you can maintain the stock seatbelts, and the weight savings benefit.
2) If you must have your factory rollhoops in place, we will make arrangements to have the bars shipped back to us, and we will send out a replacement bar with the design revision that will accomodate the factory roll hoops.
3) If you are completely unsatisfied with GFL product support and customer service, and neither of the above resolutions are to your liking, we will issue you a refund upon return receipt of the rollbar.
Regards,
Asura, Go Fast Lab
Thanks for the quick response. I'll probably have to go with option #2, but I certainly appreciate GFL's efforts to get this bar to the S2k market. New products sometimes have "teething pains", this is no different.
I look forward to getting additional details, and thanks again for handling this in a prompt and professional manner once the issues were identified.

Asura, yes, thank you for the thorough response to our concerns. As is the case with mts, I will most likely choose Option #2. Fortunately, another member out here has lent me a bar for the upcoming track days.
If #2 is exercised, what kind of turnaround are we looking at?

I've got a copy and I can send it to you so everyone can have one.
I need to know if the redesign will use the same mounting plate location as the bar I have now. I've allready drilled holes in the car and I don't need any more.
What kind of ETA on the revised bar?
You've got a PM as well.

The holes will be the same. The plate and rear bar angle will change.
Since the jig is already made it conceivably shouldn't take too long. I intend to personally test fit the prototype of the revised bar. Until I have one that meets my satisfaction, I am not going promise any specific dates. However, everything will be done as expediently as possible.
I will update this thread with pictures and new information as I receive it.

I'm sorry to hear about everyone's problems, especially considering this could be something I'll be looking at in the near future
Major props to Asura and the Go Fast Lab for handling this correctly and professionally though

First of all, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
We still have not received the install DVD from Wael.
The rear plates for the GFL roll bars are slightly different than the original Elda bar causing them to attach to the plate at a more acute angle from the main hoop. This is what is making the bar interfere with the rollhoops. There is no safety issue if the seatbelt anchor point from the factory rollhoop is relocated to the rollbar via a clamp such as:

I would rather have a redesigned bar, but I dont' want to take the bar out now. Its such a PIA to install.
Please let us know when you are sure that the bar fits properly using the existing holes I've drilled...
