I wondered if that would work well. busaboy, how is the car's balance with that setup? Both the stock springs and Mugen coilovers that I've driven on have softer front rates.
The shocks are indeed made by Ground Control, (www.ground-control.com) and they are double adjustable. There are 3 low speed compression settings, and an "infinite" (ie 3 turns, no clicks, ) rebound. I haven't driven on R compound tires yet, so can't comment on the balance. With the SO 2's it seems to have some push, but I haven't learned to do four wheel drifts yet with this setup. I'm planning to take it to an autocross in February and I'll post again. Ground Control and I selected the near equal rates to try and eliminate the oversteer with the R compounds ( call me chicken).
Davepk, the springs are Eibachs. I know that King and Comptech sell coilovers for the standard shocks. However, I thing the stock shocks will be completely overwhelmed by the stiffer springs when you run the car at the track.
