Typically the the more heavily loaded front tire wears out fastest of any tire. It usually does more work than any other tire, unless you have way too much power for your rear wheels.

If yours is wearing less than theirs, you are understeering less than they are.
could this point to me pitching my car more more on entry than how they drive?

possibly...hard to say without seeing vids...basically you're oversteering more and he's understeering more...whether it's on corner entry or exit is hard to speculate

do you both have AP1's? AP1 oversteers more than AP2 because of the AP1's rear toe-change under load

we are both on ap2.

the last time i was on rt615, i ended up using 2 rear tyres for every 1 front tyres...still cant understand why these peeps got the opposite.

looks like you're the exception from what I can tell...what stagger were you running?

OEM AP2 rims.

My car is fully stock except for oil cooler, aluminium radiator. I have a j's racing cat-back on but that was out for repair for some time and only recently on so the rear tyre wear observation excludes that.

my camber is 1.75 F 2.5 R toe 0 F and in 0.25 total R

What I am confused by is that my alignment settings in my view bias my car more for understeer than the stock alignment yet I am getting wear in this fashion...God knows the car did feel that much more oversteery when it was stock.

c32b I think you are wearing out rears faster because of the .25 rear tow. A lot of tow will wear tires fast.

I wear out fronts faster (autocross and street driving). I run a little tow out in the front and 1/16-1/8 tow in in the rear.

hi...thanks for the tip.

just want to check if you are sure that the toe in that i use is aggressive enough to cause the wear bearing in mind the wear rate is even across the face of the tyre?

i had previously run 0.10 total toe and the tail was frisky as hell even with the added camber so i am not really very keen to have that much tail out action.

I think that .25 is a lot for an AP2 and enough to cause the wear. I run a very large front sway bar to keep the rear in check with a little tow in.

Not sure about this but I think tow in wears the outside of the tire and -camber wears the inside giving even but fast wear.

Out of factory spec toe will wear tires twice as fast as camber

With enough camber, toe and camber will both wear the inside of the tire, so it depends.
