Eye-bolt for lap belt attached through seat mount hole?
I am in process of putting the seats/harnesses in the car and was wondering if I can use eye-bolt for the lap belt which close to transmission tunnel at the seat mount position? Kinda like dual role of holding on of the positions of the bracket down and as attachment point for the lap belt.
Angle wise it is a perfect position for my setup - I sit pretty far forward. Is there any advantage of going through transmission tunnel?
Thanks in advance!

I would not have my belt mounted to anything the seat mounts on.
if you have to use it and the seat mount or hold down fails then your belt fails.
if you have the belt separate from the seat its much safer in my opinion....
best thing to do is check the rules for whoever you run with or send them a email
Better to be held in the seat rather than on the seat
