EVS 70SSP with Test Pipe. Laguna Seca Sound 90db?
#12
Laguna recently made 90db the standard not 92. Because the people that run the circuit have no spine.
Turn down tip really won't make a huge difference depending on the exhaust. Especially with the wall close to the left side of the track where they do sound readings. I know some people have found it better to point their turn down tips up and to the left so less sound bounces off the wall. But sound comes from the entire exhaust and car, not just the tip. You definitely can't run that exhaust with a test-pipe.

Turn downs/away won't work if you are substantially above the target dB limit. There isn't any magic in them. They help if you are only a little over the limit, but anything substantial requires changing out some parts.

I came across this turndown with insert cone inside to help with noise. I am curious how much the insert helps.

If it's the end of the day, I suggest running a 130dB exhaust and then continue to run until you get kicked out of the event. Only if you want to get kicked out permanently...LOL
