But the RPF1s are lighter than those or anything else in their price range.

I don't think it's necessarily a given that they can only make one wheel and one wheel only. There's clearly a demand for an RPF1 for autocross. Also simply changing the offset by 15mm on their current RPF1 has to be easier than making a whole new wheel - so it may be the 17x9 is feasible while the 17x10 is not.

Anyway, I don't see the point of arguing the merits of what other people want until the guy comes back and says "sorry guys, we can only make one s2ki special wheel, here's a dipstick as your weapon, fight to the death and the winner gets his wheel made"

I'd say a 17x10 +45 would probably be the best mix of all. I also highly doubt that the NT03+M is going to look how people want. The 17" version has never had the nice looking concave face that the 18" ones get. I have a hard time believe enkei will completely redesign the wheel from the ground up. Keeping the current face and adding .5" of width wouldn't be nearly as much of a task.

Even though the size is what they want if they aren't going to look cool they aren't going to sell nearly as many as they'd like and possibly not even enough to get a group buy going. Unfortunately we need to do something that the masses want.

I agree with all others though that we don't need another STR friendly wheel out of this. There are plenty of those already. What we are missing is a good range of affordable wheels in the 17x10 +45-50 range. I think the only want this group buy will truly be worth their while is if they decide to go with a 9.5 or 10" wide wheel.

Nam, are you making contact on the inside at the top of the tire?
This x100.

Pretty much the only wheel I want besides what I have now (17x9.5 +38 w/ 255s) are CE28's for the sole reason that you can get them in 17x10 +45. Would basically be the perfect size. Pretty much just like steve is saying, anything between +44-50 in a 10j would be perfect.

I'd like to see either rpf1's or NTo3s in 17x10 +40 offset.

I wonder if a 17x10+42 nt03+m can be made with the concave face? I would order a set today if that became available.I don't care about bbk clearance because the stocn brakes are adequate with the right setup from what I've read.

Anyone else for this?

I would love the RPF1 in 17x9 +63, and in a 17x10 +45-50. If you made these and priced in the same range as the current wheels I would buy a set of each right now.

I think +45 is the happy medium here. I understand why Nam wants +40 and I agree about that being the best setup. The problem here is like Steve, when I tried to fit the 9.5+38 and the 10 it was pretty much impossible for me. Ended up getting rid of the wheels due to the work required. There is poke too, and in all honesty will require body work. At that point you may as well have bought the 3000 dollar Volks, assuming you haven't exceeded that cost in wheel/tire/bodywork and paint.

Also I want to point out that some people seem to overlook the strength of the wheel simply in favor of the wheels weight. I would never take an rpf1 for track use over the same available size nt03. Wheels bend on track ALL the time. To have someone like Mark say that he's NEVER bent an NT03 well, it says something. Seriously.

Last Edit: For those of you asking for a 17x9 +60-3 you have like 5-6 different options I can think of off the top of my head. Why the hell do you want another one?

We don't have 5-6 different options for under, say, $300/wheel. There's the TSW Nurburgring (19 lbs), Enkei PF01, TR C3 (20 lbs), that other TSW wheel (pretty sure over 20 lbs)....I can't think of any others, so 4 wheels, 3 of which are really heavy. An RPF1 would be significantly lighter than all of them, including the PF01. Plus I know it's stupid and a minor thing but I'd like bronze/gold wheels, so I'm out of luck if I want something light in that color since basically the PF01 is my only choice and it's black or silver.

I'd like a wheel that's strong, comes in 17x10 +42ish and clears a bbk, and costs less than $1500 for a set. I'm willing to sacrifice weight just as long as it doesn't weigh over 21 lbs.
I'd like a RWD NA 2-seater that weighs 2000 pounds and makes 400ft lbs of torque, but costs under $25,000....
Thanks for adding nothing useful to this thread so far...

Light weight / strong / cheap.... pick two.

I've done that, I'm sacrificing light weight. BBK clearance is a matter of looks/spoke design, and with a +42ish offset, that's not too hard to achieve. I don't care if the wheel doesn't have a "lip"
