Agree with termination, CCWs (not sure about forgeline) would be too expensive. The appeal of the enkei was low price. Or else everyone would just get CE28s in 17x10.

Yeah, I'm going to wait for either 949 if that ever happens, get 17x9.5 +44 nt03+m, or get volks. No point in paying ccw or "custom wheel" prices if volk is around.

For the non-STR guys wanting 17x10s, the attraction here is low price, strength, fitment, and willing to sacrifice weight to make it stronger. Low price = something less than $1400.

Edit: I should clarify that $1400 is for the set, or something less than $350 per wheel, and ideally more like $300 per wheel.

And for the STR guys, the attraction is either a) an affordable light weight option (<$300 and <17-18 lbs) or b) a good price for a super light weight wheel (<15 lbs and <$500). Pretty sure Forgeline is something like $4-5k for a set, which is totally not even in the same city as the cost ballpark.

Yeah.... I never really processed the price point. I doubt they would get the price down to something reasonable. I'm working with custom wheel fabricator that is looking to do something in any size we want. One piece forged wheels. Looking at RP03 weight factor but very sturdy. Who wants to be a good guinea pig with a BBK that can test fitment. Long time member preferred!

If CCW can make a 17x10 wheel with the same cost/quality as an ENKEI Nt03m...THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
Id buy a couple sets....

Not sure what you consider "long time", but I'd be willing to be a guinea pig I suppose.

I definitely do not know the details about why they stopped, but Buddy Club used to make some lightweight S2k wheels...maybe contact them and see about making a new run?

~ UPDATE ~

S2ki.....

Just spoke with ENKEI. I have not lost faith in them because they put out a very nice wheel, that is consistent and with a good price point. Besides the fact that they stand behind their wheel big time. I just sat down with one of their head guys over at ENKEI for almost an hour and he was very kind about getting a lot of cool stuff for us. I will list them and see what you guys think.

First things first.... the RPF1 WILL NOT be re-designed. It won't and CAN NOT be done. ENKEI JAPAN does not allow it even with a high production run. I know you guys are not going to be happy to hear this and I wont hear the end of it, but this is FACT and direct from the source. So.... MOVING ON.... we have some things to consider below.

BUT....

We can do the following as OPTIONS:

NT03+ ENKEI NT03+ SIZING CHART LINK

NT03+ 17x9.5 +55
NT03+ 17x9.5 +44
NT03+ 17x9.5 +38

GTC01 ENKEI GTC01 SIZING CHART LINK

GTC01 17x9.5 +38
GTC01 17x9.5 +43

RP03 ENKEI RP03 SIZING CHART LINK

RP03 17x9.5 +38
RP03 17x9.5 +43

Doing a 10" WIDE wheel is not something that can be facilitated. Can you guys come to consensus that this may work for you? Maybe combine it with SPECS already offered as well if you want to do staggerd setup? Colors can be pretty much what ever I want them to be.

Let me know your thoughts S2Ki.
