I do know people that bring Nitrogen to the track to run tools and fill tires, but it is a convenience thing - not a performance thing.

Race cars that use nitrogen have two valves per wheel. One to fill and the other to open and flush out the atmosphere of air and water vapor that were in the tire when it was mounted. Otherwise, nitrogen is little more than a gimmick tire shops use to scam people out of 20 more bucks.

I travel with it strapped down with full size tie downs inside my tow vehicle.

I mount my own tires, so my first fill is with nitrogen. I purge it and fill again. If it's a super important race and I know I won't get a chance to scrub the tire and set pressures... I'll crack the bead with the tire lever tool and blast some nitrogen in, then let the bead seal.

I've been doing enduros lately. Hence the prep level. If its a driver school or test, just get some air In and go.

I have used it in 90ish degree track days with only a increase of 2psi. Pretty consistent as they would normally rise 5-8 psi depending on how hot of day

The 6ULR wheels have two valve stems, and I have a few sets of them. I told the shop to purge the air first before adding nitrogen but based on people's comments here I bet they didn't do it, which honestly wouldn't surprise me they're kind of space cadets over there. Maybe I will try it again with doing the nitrogen myself. Just have to figure out where to get the nitrogen cheaply.

Nitrogen is now available at Costco. Actually, it's been available for a long time, but they wouldn't fill outside tires with it. Now, they'll fill anybody. It's only $11 for all four, or $23 and they'll balance your tires as well. They do a fill, purge, and refill. And I bet if their cool about it, you could have them fill up one of those small 40lb air tanks as well. When I try it, I'll just have them overfill, and bleed down at the track.
