I've owned 3 HJC helmets over the years and I like them, no complaints at all. They stay comfortable for the long rides (motorcycle) and seem well built. The next one I buy though will have a removable/cleanable liner.

I'd personally get the HJC CL-14. I have one for my motorcycle and use it for auto-x, as well. I got it for $99 shipped from ebay. It'll definately do the job well on any auto-x course. Now, if you're looking to track your car, as well, I'd opt for a SA2000 helmet. A good bang for buck is Pyrotect (by Bell).

I'm pretty sure this is the one I'm getting... I went back to the store and tried EVERY helmet they had on and the HJC CL-14 was the best bang for the buck... Funny thing is, I sign on here to see if anyone has commented about these helmets and you suggest that. I'm almost 100% sure this is what I'm getting...

SHOEI X-11

If you're gonna die in it you might as well get a good one.

Do you know the difference between a track and an auto-x?

Ok guys hold on I was just suggest other helmet. The helmet s2k and I was taking about are motorcycle helmets and are design for motorcycle. They do make helmets design for autox and track. Which cost anywhere from 200 and up. Here is the site. As for autox the helmets you metion above will work. I am sure they are not going to say anything. But If you track they might.
