DL1 sensor connections?

There's some great info in this thread, but I was wondering if anyone with a 2006+ has had a chance to verify which of this applies and which doesn't?
Also, are we sure that the stock steering angle sensor outputs just CAN? Can you get it if you use the ECU interface? Is the ECU interface fast enough to get anything useful from it?
I'd like to hook up brake and clutch switch, TPS, engine speed for sure, and possibly IAT or some of the other engine sensors. Also I'm going to do steering angle and I'd like to not have to use another sensor when I already have one.
I don't have the car yet so I can't check this stuff out myself, plus I don't want to reinvent any wheels.

I have an extra oil temp sensor from Race Technology and I figure I'd plug it into the tranny just for the hell of if.
After looking at the service manual, I found that there is an additional drain plug on the top of the tranny case. This drain plug is 12mm and that just so happens to be the same size as the RT Bosch Oil Temp Sensors. I was gonna install it in the drain plug located at the bottom of the tranny but, I'd have to reduce the opening from 14mm to 12mm with a time-sert. I was also slightly worried about removing the magnetic drain plug as there is always shavings....
Anyways, I relalize that the temp sensor would be installed well above the oil level, however do you think that with it will still be able to give a somewhat accurate reading?
I should have the car running soon, so I should be able to give you guys some idea if it's gonna work in that location....
