Default Degreasing tires?

I use Meguires tire dressing on my tires periodically and was wondering if there way a proven way to remove it. I'm heading to the track in about a month and I know it'll be a little greasy when I roll over onto the sidewalls.

(please don't judge me harshly, it's my daily driver as well...)

I would suspect it will scrub off pretty quickly; just be careful your first few sessions

Wipe it off with a dry towel, then wash it with soap and water. I don't use the stuff myself, not even on my daily driver.

On the tread or sidewalls?

You should still be well below the line on the sidewall, if you aren't you need a lot more air.

It's just on the side walls but at the track I still end up rolling on to a bit of the side wall on high g corners.

I'll try using the dry towel first...

A few of the driving events I have been to specifically say not to use tire shine before the event.

I would just not use it a few days prior to running an event.

I haven't used it for well over a month. That meguires stuff is real good though. It lasts through car washes and even through extended periods of rainy weather.

But yeah it's starting to wear off now, and I've got almost a month before I hit the track. I was just hoping someone had a magic formula to easily remove it. I'll just keep scrubbing it...

I would bet that brake parts cleaner would remove it.

The piston dust boots and brake lines are rubber, as well as plenty of bushing that probably get soaked.

I've used it on just about everything. Engine rebuilds, underhood cleaning, etc. I've never really had it eat anything.

It does dry your hands out after about an hour or so. I typically soak fasteners in a bath of that stuff during engine rebuilds.
