I decided to get one so I wouldn't have to ask grumpy old white dudes for 6psi of air...
I am a grumpy old white dude, so that makes it easier.

Mine looks the same, only I actually found an Aluminum tool box that fit pefect. It was hard to find a 40" tool box.

Have you seen these: Cordless / Rechargeable Air Compressor with Radio (1.5 Gallon Tank)

We ran out of air in our Sears tank, and borrowed one of these from another driver. Worked great!! Weight is sort of heavy to lug around - 35 lbs.

They are out of stock at my local Sears as well. The cost of shipping offsets the savings. Guess I will continue to carry my air pump around.

I just use a bicycle pump. Very efficient and good exercise. Very light and convenient, and doesn't need electricity or ever run out of air . And just around 10 bucks. You only ever need to add a couple pounds per tire at most.

At the end of the last track event I had three guys come up to me to borrow my pump after they saw how simple it is to add air . I'm sure you'd have done it too if you needed to add a couple pounds and there was no station around (btw, it's way faster than those 12v pumps). A 10 gal. tank takes up too much space or weight for most weekend trackers. I have a trailer and still use the bicycle pump 'cause I can't forget to refill it etc.

bike pump still is slow. I'm also hoping to switch to N2 some day so I'll keep a high pressure bottle to refill.
