ok so your having the cracking problem as well with the dba, thats good to know i thought i was the only one.

so what else is out there that will last @ least 4 weekends.
If you are going to go slotted the I would run stoptech rotors. They cut the slots in but it does not go all the way to the edge. That creates a weak spot on the rotor. Ever notice where the DBA rotor cracks. Always on the sotted parts on the edge.

I've never had a rotor ONLY last 4 events. I have the front dust shield removed and run cobalt pads. I've used OEM rotors up till now. Have new rotors up front from Autozone (2 year free replacement here I come!).

Are the small cracks all around the big one anything to be worried about? i.e. Do they lead on to become the larger cracks? (sorry for the stupid question)

Thanks for the info mikegarrison!

They are normal, but yes, they do grow to become the big cracks. Take them as a warning sign that you will need new rotors reasonably soon.

Occasionally the small cracks get so big that the rotor gets rough enough you need to just replace it before a deep crack ever forms.

i've always been with the majority in purchasing cheap as possible since they are a wear item, but does anyone have experience with the cryo treated rotors from powerslot? marketing hype or is there actual value? i've never been able to rationalize purchasing them though it's always been something i've thought about.

My only experience with cryo rotors was that they had to be replaced just as soon as the regular rotors. YMMV.
