There is now video broadcast on speedcasttv on all races from the runoffs. That is the same video production company NASA used to use before the Racer Connect failure.

Congrats guys! I saw the live stream and Andrie's car looked setup. What are the major differences for an s2000 in STU vs T3. I see its about a 3s difference at MRLS. 1:40-41's sound fast in a T3 setup. That is discouraging, haha.
1:41s in a T3 car is very fast. Kevin (driver of the yellow HPD T3 car) can pedal.

A few differences:
- T3 car minimum is 2850lbs
- STU car minimum in similar trim is 2365lbs but none of us (me, Andrie, Krazik) are anywhere close to that.
- STU has more open suspension rules (notably springs) but T3 cars can run good dampers with stock top hats (or something like that)
- STU can use a sequential transmission and do mild engine work (cams, porting)

I was slightly faster than Kevin in my car but not as fast as I should have been. Doing a single test day on the hoosiers would have helped =)
Albert,
Kevin's S2000 was heavily damaged front and rear during the 1st lap pile-up in turn 3. He still managed to climb back into 5th in T3 despite the aero handicap and a crimped (rt. angle bend) tail pipe.
Without the damage, I think he would've been on the podium.
Will, any update on the damage?
Mike

Yes - I think the S2k could still be a very competitive package in T3 especially at Mid-Ohio in 2 years.

I borrowed suspension pieces from Kevin to load my car in the trailer. Big thanks to him and everyone at HPD for arranging for the tent and paddock support. Was really fun to meet all of them.

I spent so much time in September and October prepping I'm a little burned out so the car is still in the trailer =)

In short, the bumper and CR lip are salvageable but everything else that bolts on to the left front corner needs to be replaced. Scratch that - the Girodisc 2pc brake rotor I got from Speed-freaks looks great!

Yeah I just looked over the qualifying times and it was a little closer than I thought. So T3 is pretty much a 2850lb CR, flashed and with better dampers and hoosiers, correct? I think if they allowed ecu's for 00-05 years I'd be more interested. But I still don't think I can get down to 40 flat at MRLS.

Yeah, it's a pretty exhausting event....I'm gonna take a few more days to recover myself. Good luck with the rebuild!

Man, that mistake on the restart cost you big time battling with the Cobalt for position. Awesome driving regardless. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and I want your transmission
