Default Comptech Swaybar Adjustment Bolt

Installed the swaybar. Everything is bolted up, so I wanted to move the ajustment bolt. I'm not the strongest guy out there, but that bolt is kicking my ass.

How hard should it be to take out? Do I have to take off the endlinks before removing the bolt? What am I missing?

You do not need to remove the links

I didn't have much trouble with mine. I did place a steel rod in a open hole before loosening the bolt.

Maybe you need some better leverage?

Dumb question, but do you have both sides of the car off of the ground, or just one? The bolt's going to be pretty hard to get out if only one side of the car's jacked up.

Both wheels were off the ground, so the bar should be unloaded. There doesn't seem to be any binding either.

Hmmm. I guess I'll have to remove that bar to see if the bolt is truly frozen or not. Should of done that before the bar went in.

I need to pull my bar out to get the bolt out. I can loosen the nut and hear the inner bar move but the saddle washers seem to be frozen to the bolt. It will give me something to do this spring...

When I had mine I found it easiest with one endlink disconnected so you can jiggle the inner bar as you pull on the bolt (both wheels up too of course).

That was my first thought, but the nut came from the factory on the wrong side. I would need a mini-me hammer wielded by tiny Keebler elves.

Back to the garage.

Why does the bar have to be unloaded? Every time I changed the bolt the wheels were on the ground and I did it from the top.
