Default Cheap Helmets!

We're clearing out tons of old inventory and we have tons of motorcycle helmets (new) forsale dirt cheap.

http://stores.ebay.com/New-Discount-Motorc...8QQftidZ2QQtZkm

Most track days and auto-x events let you use a motorcycle helmet.

If you're interested in an item you can also pm me directly.

More items loaded every day.

Are these Snell 2000 or later? Bmw Club, SCCA, & PCA all require the Snell rated helmets for their events.

No Snell is for Auto helmets. As I said above they're motorcycle helmets. For (most) auto-x or trackdays they'll take motorcycle street helmets. They're not for racing.

Again, cheap helmets for cheap heads. There are plenty of people in this subforum that run an motorcycle helmet on the track.

Not correct, Ry.

Snell has many different helmet ratings. There is one for motorcycle helmets ("M") and one for auto sport helmets ("SA"). Also they have them for equestrian helmets and bicycle helmets. Maybe others, too.

If they are Snell "M" rated, they will have a year. 90, 95, 2000, 2005. If they only say "DOT approved" then they aren't Snell-rated. (But they can be Snell-rated and also DOT approved.)

Many track orgs do accept motorcycle helmets, true. But most of them only accept Snell-rated motorcycle helmets, not those that are only "DOT approved".

oh duh! My bad.

Some are snell some aren't. Obviously you shouldn't buy a "beanie" (harley dork) helmet and try to show up at the track.

There are some that are snell rated and are marked as such in the descriptions. Just look for the full face ones. If you're unsure pm me the link and I'll confirm the part #.

What is the main difference between a motorcycle helmet and auto helmet? is it the fire proof materials or there is something else? what is the difference in the structure of the helmet itself?

Besides the fireproof materials, I have heard that the motorcycle helmets are only rated for one impact where the SA rated helmets are rated for multiple impacts. Supposedly your head can play pinball on the roll cage if you use the SA rated helmet.
