Personally, I find the rings to be a PITA, since they occasionally come off. If I don't notice one has come off, I have a big problem getting the stockers back on (e.g., after an autocross).

I no longer bother with the centering rings.

Centering rings are a waste. I do not run any on my SE-R ITA car. I ran them once a long time ago and they got so hot that they stuck to the hub and I had to hammer them out.

If you set the wheel on the studs and then snug the lug nuts, the wheel will center. Then torque the lug nuts in an X pattern. I know there are five lugs

your wheels sticks out because of the low offset. what's the offset on your wheels. even with 17x9 +63, you still need to roll the front fenders a little.

You should have posted this in the Mid-A, Leadhead.

1. Tighten your lugs as mentioned earlier(every other one until all five have been tended to). Tighten to spec incrementally, i.e. do not tighten one lug to 80-85 lbs-ft first and then proceed to the next.

2. If you drive the car hard enough, the plastic hub-centric rings will actually melt, thereby negating any further use.

3. Also as was mentioned, these have zero to do with how far in or out a wheel sits. With or without the rings, the wheels will sit the same.

See you next weekend.

Most likely they're +45.
