Calculate 1/4 mile time from 1/8th mile?
Any chance of getting a decent approximation of 1/4 mile time from an 1/8th mile slip? It was in July- about mid 80's with about 75-80% humidity. Obviously, NA.
Here it is just in case:
60'..................... 2.207
330'................... 6.279
1/8.................... 9.554
MPH.................. 75.26
Thanks!

The general math i've heard for estimating is take 1/2 your 1/8 mile time and add it to your 1/8 mile time and that would be your 1/4 mile time. SOOO 9.5/2 = 4.75+9.5= 14.25 Not bad for a 2.2 60 ft.

I was hoping for a little better considering having to get into VTEC in first. I'll take it though as I had my son and Stealthbox in the car as well- about 100lbs total. And it was warm.
Thanks for the input. It was my first time ever dragging. The start was with my heart going a mile a minute!!!

Nope, never seen it, no way no how. That's what low-end torque is for
The fastest slip I have works out this way (N/A car, Englishtown Raceway Park)
Temp: 63
Hum: 46
60' 2.271
330 6.029
1/8 9.170 78.45 MPH
1000 11.870
1/4 14.179 95.94 MPH

How much can the temps and humidity that I ran in affect my run versus the same things during your run? Also, I ran w/ a grill and plate attached to that. I would think that would be neglible unless I was going to do a bunch of runs and had to wait long periods between runs.

You can predict your times till your blue in the face and you have a <10sec ET. Why not just run again w/ when the conditions are right on a 1/4 mile track? You can take off the grill, plate, spare tire, passenger seat, and any other excuse-generating deadweight and then you'll know for sure what you're capable of.

Unlike you, I don't get to enjoy good weather for some time. Damn, I miss Arizona! Besides, I'm not a drag junkie(went one time), although it was a blast. I just asked a question. But thanks for chiming in... hope your day gets better.
