BSP Suspension Baseline

At the moment, we appear to have Robert staying 13/12.5" is good while Marc is saying lower than stock was bad. I know nothing, I just know when I like the car or not. FWIW, my car is 13/12.9" I believe.

First event on the new setup this past weekend and I took first in raw and pax. I even beat Tom Kotzian by .05 seconds in PAX. We had an EVO phase 2 on Saturday and he stuck around for the event because our site is incredible. He co-drove a STX prepped FRS. I'm sure he'd smoke me in my car but I will enjoy this small victory none the less. Big thanks goes to Robert for the help, I was shocked at what my car was capable of. I hope the scotch found you well and good luck this year with all of your exciting endeavors.

I'll tell you one thing. Recently I rethought how I tune my suspension and basically try things the Robert Thorne way. A lot of people told me it doesn't make sense, it won't work and so forth but hey, what do I have to lose, I sucked last year. So I started softening the rear, adding more rear rebound and adjusting the balance to the point where I can get hard on the throttle early on corner exit and basically drive the car under throttle all the time. It works...BUT you have to drive it that way...under throttle all the time and use your diff to do the work. I've only really done 4 events this year but I'd say it's been successful so far. Day 1 at the NJ tour on a really fast course, I was able to keep up with Mike Lane and we both raw timed some really fast drivers in SSR and were 4th and 8th in PAX respectively out of 206 drivers. I don't pretend to be a suspension expert. In fact, most of what I know is by trial and error and seeing how the car responds but Robert is definitely on the right track. I'm running 1000lb springs all around and my car is pretty high, I'd definitely say at or around stock height. I'm dropping my rear spring to 900lbs before Toledo since I've had to dial down my rear sway (Ankeny) and shocks all the way down to get the balance I wanted so I have no more room for adjustment. I figure by lowering the rear spring rate, I can raise the rear bar up somewhere midway and have some adjustability again. Oh and I'm running 295/315 Hoosiers on 18x11 and 18x12 CCWs for reference.
