The issue isn't about whether this can make him win. This loser is still angry about having to replace ball joints regularly on his Porsche to stay within the rules. He saw an opportunity to make a whole bunch of people have to share his pain, and he's going for it. Now, if we can get Honda to help us out within the structure of the rules, how cool a FU would that be?

He may have skills - but if he would actually protest every S2000 for a repair of that nature - he's a pussy.
I hope Honda issues a repair bulletin that renders this little discussion moot - but if they don't and he protests the repair - shame on him.
Trophy or not - how could you hold your head up after lodging such a protest.

Do the a-arms break under (amature) auto-x conditions or from heavily tracked cars?

What's BS about the protest? He's protesting a clearly illegal modification to the cars. What's BS is the reasoning behind it. He's not planning to protest because it is a performance enhancement but because misery loves company. I say we help Brad get Honda to issue us the TSB which will make the repair legal, then we all pitch in to buy the guy a ball joint, maybe with a tiny fiddle attached

I think it's BS too. It's unfortunate that his car has a problem that requires frequent, expensive repairs. To vent that by protesting the same issue with another car is BS. He should take up the issue with the governing board or whoever can remedy the situation for him. It's things like this that make someone like me, who has never auto-x'ed, decide it's not worth the hassle to even give it a shot.
