ALWAYS BRING SPARE ROTORS!
(advice from 10+ s2k veterans to me)
I should have listened earlier. When i cracked my first rotor, i didn't have spare (i didn't think i could crack one)
My car is stock AP2 with RS3s, stock susp, slow low-intermediate driver
I was on OEM rotors, ProjectMu 999, 12 track days (3 at Laguna Seca aka rotor-assassin track, 4 a buttonwillows, 5 at thunderhills). Pads were almost done when rotors cracked.

Currently, I have ProjectMu Club Racer. Autozone rotors last 2 days
With minimal wrenching experience/ability, changing rotor at track takes me some times. Hence, im adding brake duct .

On my Hawk HP+ experience: i bought the car with HP+ and it didn't stop well. Switched to 999 after 1 track day on HP+
+1 on ProjectMu Club Racer (it is a bit noisy for daily)
+1 on ProjectMu 999 (my favorite but it is pricey and need more driver mod before going back to 999)

Enjoy more track days to come

I went with autozone blanks at $40 each. Double the price of centrics on rock auto....why, answer is simple. Im going to crack them, autozone has a 2yr warrenty. I call ahead an order two replacement rotors or ask if they have in stock at the one closest to the track even though the rotors are fine. If they crack i have 1 spare on hand and go run and grab my replacement
