Default Book(s) on proper driving/racing tecniques ?

I've read a book called "Twist of Wrist 1 & 2". It's a book wriiten to help learn better riding and racing tecniques on motorcycles. I'm wondering if there is something similar and something highly recommended for FR drive cars.

I've been to the track with my Civic more than a few times but this S2000 seems to get the best of me. I'm going to take a driving class in the next couple of months but would like something to read and maybe get a head start.

Thanks
JT

There is a book called "Going Faster". It was written by one of the instructors at the Skip Barber Racing School. The best way, however, is to get some instruction at one of the racing schools.

Hands down:

Going Faster! Mastering the Art of Race Driving
by Carl Lopez
ISBN: 0837602262

Apparently it's been updated. I wonder what has been added. Anyone know? They probably don't refer to the GTP cars in the new addition

Definitely Going Faster. Also Ross Bentley's "Speed Secrets" (not so much his "Inner Speed Secrets" though).

I've had a hard time finding "Going Faster." It's out of print, so Amazon's book-finding service told me they couldn't find it (after 3 weeks of waiting). I'm still looking for it. I did buy "Secrets of Solo Racing: Expert Techniques for Autocross & Time Trials," by Henry Watts. Haven't read it yet, but it seems to have a lot of info. Anybody know where to get Going Faster?

Nevermind, just checked at Amazon, and they seem to have it in stock now. Maybe this is the new one.

Watts has nothing on Lopez. Nothing! Seriously. Are you liking the graphics in the Watts book? Nice eh?
Top-notch graphics in the Watts book. Looks like many of the diagrams were drawn with a Berlina Black Crayola.

When I checked back in Nov, I just searched Amazon for Going Faster, clicked the link and ordered. Then got an e-mail that it was out of print and they were trying to find it, then got another e-mail that said they couldn't find it. Just ordered today for $20 and change.
