This sounds like a pretty good deal. We just had a local event up there this past weekend and Vivek Goel is going to be the course designer, so should be something different than the previous courses.

Come join us. I promise there ARE places to drink, but I can't promise all the food joints will be open. lol"

 

Event canceled

 

St George event is on the verge of being canceled. needs something like 15 more participants to be a go.

St George is about 5hrs from LA, for those curious

 

Are you guys going to consider running a local even there? If so, I would likely still make the trip down there.

At a bare minimum, this should be considered but may be too late to get together. It's unfortunate that these events are not supported. Our local region still has 4 days of autocross and I have 8 more days of events to choose from. The season should not end with Nationals.

 

No, I tried to talk them into it but they board said no. They had two "local" events there besides summer nationals this year so I guess they did not want to make the trip again. Getting several new board members next year so maybe we can host more locals there. I guess I'm going to Memphis next weekend instead to the NASA X event.

Its a shame though that people don't seem to travel for the match tours.

 

I was going to go to one of your local events there in Blytheville, but f*cked up my back and had to bail. I so wanted to run there again this year.

Thanks for attempting to get the board to try to have a local event there in its place, but understand the effort that goes on with doing that.
