Default best suspension set up

im looking to add an aggressive stance to my ap2... i like the ride of stock and wouldn't mind a little bit stiffer... plan on autox'n once a month but also use it as a daily driver back and forth from work... btw, i live in new orleans which has the most crappest roads around... also, i plan on putting 18s on for daily and swapping back to 17s for autox days...

my question is based on my situation: should i go with coilover sleeves and aftermarket shocks? or a coilover system? some i had in mind was tein cs (more for daily) tein flex.... also i am trying to stay under 2,000...

any input will be appriciated!

You want to stiffen it, lower it, put 18s on it, but you like the stock ride and run on the crappiest roads.

Not sure how to answer this. Sounds like looks and street ride are most important to you. If that's the case, I think you are asking the wrong people.

BTW...you haven't seen crappy roads until you've driven for a year up north. Salt and slush covered for 6 months, and then 6 months of construction to repair the pot holes.

If you're planning to auto-x in SCCA, and want to stay in Astock, you can only change shocks, front sway bar and exhaust. Probably best to stay stock for the first year or so. Once you know what you are doing, you can work on the car weaknesses.

Other than that, read the auto-x FAQ. It is geared towards Astock competition.

Having just been in Louisiana (Lake Charles), I think you're crazy for wanting to go to 18's. The roads on the west end of the state are so lousy, it just about shook the fillings out of my teeth and I was driving a Sable.

I would go with the Comptech adjusatble front bar or similar, I have the KW V3 dampers with I am extremely happy with.

I am also wondering what suspension to get, I dont want anything that will lessen the performance of the stock one (I already did that with springs and now I want to upgrade it). I too do daily driving and some track days and looking for the best suspension to benefit both.
