When you buy the Penske's or Moton's or Ohlins, do they come pre-valved from factory for autocross aplications, or do you have to have the vendor "valve" them for our specific needs?
In other words, for example, are the Motons from Science of Speed equal to the Motons from Kings Motorsports?

The stock shocks appear to be crimped shut. If you got them apart, you wouldn't be able to put them back together. You could, however, get a set of whatever Bilstein shocks are available for the S2000 and have them custom valved, or get custom-valved Koni Sports from Koni North America.

Here is a packaged set of Ohlins Shocks w/ springs.
Ohlins Shocks for S2000
The Motons and the Penskes on the other hand would probably have to be valved to your specs. I suggest finding a reputable shock builder (SRP Engineering), and work with that person to develop the correct valving for your needs.

Factoring in $50 each for springs, those Ohlins are about $50 more per corner than Penskes, and the price of the Penskes includes your choice of damping specs. Plus if you want them for stock class you still need to create an adapter for the spring seat to hold the stock springs, just like you would with the Penskes.
Are there other Showas besides the stock ones?
