best place to install the oil pressure sensor, the sandwich plate or the stock location
Going to install the AEM pressure sensor. where is the best location the stock location or the sandwich plate? What would be the most accurate reading location? Btw im rumning an oil cooler.

you can run it at either the sandwich plate, or the factory location.
I personally run two temp sensors at my sandwich plate so I can see before and after oil cooler for oil temp. so i simply screwed my pressure sensor into the block at factory location. Since you are running AEM, I believe your pitch thread is 1/8 NPT.

There is a big difference of pressure between the sandwich and the oem port at track temp.
In my sandwich plate it is and always have been a steady 90 psi on my gauge. When I installed my oil cooler I lost a port and switch the sensor to the oem port.
At my first track event , when the heat got real the oil pressure in vtec dropped to 60 psi. I freaked out and ended my session/event. Did a little reseach and couldn't find evidence that the drop was from the port location or the lost of pressure that the cooler could have caused.
Ditched the temp sensor in the sandwich plate and put the pressure sensor back in it !! Voila 90 psi again.
