Wa'el ran 235/285s on his stock suspension before he installed his set of JRZs. They were mounted on a set of Kenisis wheels. The rears were "reverse-dropped" or whatever they call it, like what they do for 911 wheels. Nothing extreme in his alignment either.

He and his buddy had autoxed it once he got the wheels/tires just for fun and they had no rubbing on the stock suspension. But seeing how Bill drives....maybe he would need the fender rolled

I emailed Bill about possibly selling my car to him. I'll let you guys chime in on your thoughts having seen/driven my car at the track.

I'm still not sure that I want to sell my car, but as you guys know, I just haven't been able to make it out to many events lately and it's a shame to have that car just sit in the garage and collect dust. On the other hand, it's still a fun weekend can and eventually I do want to start coming out to events again.

Krazik, is that a weld on or bolt on rollbar? I see some welds near the right mounting base in the picture but can't be sure. Would a hardtop fit over that?

245/275 is are the "small tires". The slicks I occasionally run are the equivelant of 265/300's and they don't rub either.

The bar is welded in. Those are old pics.

I got the impression from Bill's first post that he is looking for a reliable, safe and fun "basic" second car for the track with minimal mods, not one to try to set class track records for the S2000 (and he already has an Ultima!). I think going to the 245/275 18" starts you down a slippery slope of making many more expensive mods to get the most out of these tires while having the car feel stable. Things like decent coilovers with stiff springs (>600+ lb/in) and a big wing as minimum in my view if you want it to feel right, and probably a baffled oilpan or accusump because of the high lateral G's to keep it reliable, and bending in tabs on the front fenders plus camber kit or new upper arms etc.. That's getting into a lot for a second car. Sounds more like 225/245 on stock wheels, or 225/255 17's may be all that he needs, with minimal if any other performance mods, but I could be misinterpreting his intent.

Actually, making it a 2007 SV Spec class car would be great, and then he could compete in SV Challenge also or compare his times to similar cars.

Heh Richard and I will never agree. But the car he bought and races in was setup from the experience of myself and davepk

Spec2K is a great point, because the only thing on his list that wouldn't be allowed are the wheels, spec2k will likely require stock wheels. Bill you ever plan to come to some SpeedVenture events?

I ran for a long time on the same spring rates the kw's come with with the CCW's and they work great and shocks, wheels and weight are the the biggest peices to making the s2k fast.

I wouldn't start with the wing. If you find you need it there are options. Not saying the wing doesn't make a difference but it wouldn't say its a must have, espesically w/ the bsk.

Bill might need the a-arms, but again I wouldn't start with them. If he's finding that he needs more camber then he has that option.
