Default Autox-Track-Street Camber compromise

I know this has been discussed before but I was looking for an update after everyone has put some more miles on. What's the most neg camber we can have and still drive to work everyday?

I think it kind of depends on what kind of tire wear you're willing to put up with. -1 front, and a bit more on the rear, seems to be a typical compromise setup.

I run something like -1.6F and -2.0 rear without any problems. I only drive it once in a while though, but I had these settings on my last set of stock tires and they only lasted about 10,000 miles because the fronts suffered from some bad toe settings. The rears still had about 2 or 3/32nds of tread left too.

I run -3* all around, but I am willing to put up with inside tire wear on street as track performance and tire life there is more important to me than street tire life. It was much more expensive wearing out the shoulders of race tires prematurely several times a year while I still have my original OEM street tires with lots of tread. So it all depends on you personal situation and priorities.

Best camber != least wear. Period. They're mutually exclusive. However, excessive toe does more to hurt wear than camber does. You can run some pretty aggressive camber (I ran -2.25 fr/ -3 rear) on my S2000 without wearing the inside edges too badly. The toe was 0 up front and 3/32 in at the rear. Don't forget, wearing the inside edges on the street should even out against the outside wear from track or auto-x

If I remember correctly the max neg camber the alignment shop could give and keep it in spec was like -70 f and -160 r. I was thinking of trying -110 f and -200 r and see how the tires wear and how the car handles.

What unit of measurement are you using?

n/m, I get it, you must mean 0.7/1.6 and 1.1/2.0.
