Autocross top speed
Go easy on me if I missed this in a search but I am looking to find a clear answer on the 2nd gear top speeds of the AP1 vs AP2. I have searched and I see as high as 66mph for the AP1 and as low as 57mph for the AP2 and everything in between. For you B stockers (and otherwise stock gearing cars) how do your S2000's do for autocross top speed? My current DSP 325i at my "local" event, Peru IN, ends up siting on the limiter a total of 3-5 seconds during the course of a run due to the higher speed corners and I only top out at around 58mph and it's never quite worth a shift. Limiter for a couple seconds, then slow, then limiter, then slow. I know with better gearing (or more revs) I could pick up some tenths but I am in the market for an S2000.
I would love to hear your experiances with these cars and what you find with where you run. Do you get into third much? Just right? I know some runway type autocrosses get into 3rd because of the nature of the layout but that's not typical for me anywhere I run.
Anyway, looking forward to hearing from you guys

I use this calculator:

You're seeing some other top gear speed numbers for S2000s due to difference in tire size and for STR, some cars with ECU swaps and redline raising options.

In B-Stock, the AP2 is approx 60mph with the taller 275/40/17 A6s. The AP1 on the 245/45/16 A6s is close to 67mph. Both speed estimates were taken from a Max-q data-logging system.

Awesome, thanks for the quick replies and link.
So in that sense anyway, the AP1 has the advantage because of more "flexibiity" in the gear. As far as I have learned, the AP1 vs Ap2 acceleration times are very similar.
How about the CR? same as the AP2 gear wise?
