Correct?
I doubt it.

If so they would not be legal for SCCA Solo events. A legal tire model must be "equally available to all competitors.." 13.3.D

How long are the Hoosier Wets competitive if you store them (in plastic trash bags) and don't wind up driving on them very often? I live in California so there aren't that many events that have rain (with the exception of this year).

Thanks

Thanks for both responses Steve. Don't know where I got that - I though I'd read where a Hoosier driver made the claim about the wets *shrug*.

I'm really just inquiring for informational purposes - I'm not at the level to worry about wets.

As an aside, an STi won at Devens in the dry; BUT (and I'm not in any way slighting the drivers - they are my peers locally) there didn't appear to be any real National competition there in AS (SS was another matter). The fact that the top two are peers - and [I]I've[I] beaten them on occasion is enough to illustrate that fact.

Man that hurts. Good recovery thougth. Adil must have been heated heading home as he had an atrocious Sunday blowing his first Tour win.

All this talk of rain tires - it'd be funny if it rained both or one day at next weeks NE div. I think on our regional level, the S2000 contingent might just lose out to a rally car under those circumstances (though I can think of two drivers who may put up a good fight).

I'll be there to put up a good fight! Let's show everybody how fast Suzuka Blue can be!

I heard that Kumho will be coming out with rain tires. Does anyone know when or how they will compare to the Hoosier Wets?

I've heard people raving about the ST Hankook tire in the rain... no personal experience just word of mouth.

If I get the Hoosier Wets, should I shave them or leave them at full tread?
