Default auto-x tire setup question

I have an ap2 and an extra set of wheels, 7" wide fronts and 8" backs. What are people's thoughts on running the Kuhmo v10 225/45r17 on fronts and the 245/45r17 on the backs? I compete in A stock.

Too small. AP2 A-stock guys run at least 245 in front.

Are those stock AP2 wheels you have?

Stock sizes are 17x7 front, 17x8.5 rear...if you really have 17x8 rears, they are not the correct wheels.

But, if you have the correct wheels, 225/245 would work, but you would be giving away a fair bit of tire to those running 245/275

Running 294/315 in A-stock? Didn't think you could do that. Thought you had to stick with OEM sized rims, no way your going to tell me that you can even cram 245's on the stock front rims much less 295.

Holy crap dude. I thought you were running 275/295.

FWIW, I'm going to run 245/275 (used tires FTMFW).

You can easily fit a 245 on the stock front rim. There are guys running 275's on the stock front rims as well. I personally have mounted a 285 on a 7.5 inch rim for another car.

PS: We figured that with the 295/315 size we would never have to hit the brakes.

So your telling me that on stock AP2 wheels you can fit 245s on the stock front wheels which run 215's from the factory and not have enough slop in the front sidewalls to make them feel like a 70 series sidewall? Mind if I ask what tires your running with that setup? God knows I can't afford r-comps yet.

everbody is running atleast 245 r-comps on the front Hoosiers A6 or kumho V710s.

I don't think this size will work with street tires. Street tires I run 225/255 Dunlops.

I think the guys running 275s in front are running Hoosiers A6s. I don't think you can get the 275 Kumho V710s on the front wheel. Has anybody put the 275 Kumho V710 in front?

Rodney are you really running 295/315 setup? How's it working?

I will be on 245/275 this year. I got a great deal on 4 new 245s.
