AP2 Brake Ducts

I redid my brake ducts. Spent a bit more than 15 minutes making them this time. Had Estukay sold his works of art, I would have purchased his and stopped trying to fab my own up. His are just beautiful... mine are definitely a grassroots effort.
This time around, I have the fiberglass ducts go all the way back to the edge of the wheel well plastics. The ducts on both sides go straight back, terminate right where the plastics start. I then clamp the brake hoses there. It made it easier to install/remove if I ever need to remove the bumper.
From the radiator opening. The metal brackets you see are for my splitter. Eventually I'm going to block off this section so it's like the OEM plastics. Also, I removed my airpump, which creates a ton more space on the driver side to make some ducts.
You can see how far back the ducts go. you can also see how far back the splitter goes. It basically replaces the lower plastics.
I clamped the hose to the bottom of the sway bar...
Then routed it between the tie-rod and strut. at full lock in either direction, the tie-rod barely pinches it. not enough to be a concern, but I'll keep an eye on it to see how it progresses.
Since I have the stoptech BBK, I don't have dust shields to clamp to. I took the original DIY Brake duct thread idea of bolting it to the ABS sensor. the metal duct is bolted the same way, except there's no welded tab, there's a hole in it and it's bolted directly. Eventually, I'd like to change this around and do what was done in the other thread.
that's it. I hope this inspires others to do it and make it much much better Ultimately, wish we had a piece like this though:

I am interested in a set too, especially with 2.5" hoses since they are the largest you can run and still use 255 tires in the front.

It is being worked on as we speak
The cost difference between fiberglass and carbon fiber is minimal. For those that want a more stealthy look, the ducts can be painted with satin gloss black paint.
Also, I'm working on aluminum spindle mounts for those of you that removed your dust shields.
