Has anyone tried these tires?
I'm having problems finding the original S02 and these look pretty good.

Hey Pepe... the KDW's are no good. The DW stands for Dry/Wet. It's the 'all season' performance version. However the KD's are good... obviously a 'dry only' tire and should match the S02's. Don't get the KDW's, though.

Cheers!

Jason:

Thanks for the reply. I would buy the KDs but are not available in the stock 16-inch sizes. Race is in two weeks and I need tires. My first choice are the OEM SO2 but rears are out of stock at Tire Rack.

I could also go with S02 PP or Yoko's AVS Sport.

Seems the TireRack is running specials on the Michelin Pilot SX MXX3... This is a very good tire. They have 205/55, 225/50 and 245/45/16's all on special. I'd try those. It would be good to have some feedback on how these tires are on a Stook, too. Don't forget the PZero Pirelli's... also a very fast tire.

I'd also stay away from the PP's or AVS Sports. (Not trying to shoot down whatever you suggest, but I've had experience with most of these tires and I know what works)

Here's a link to the Michelin specials: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes.jsp?ma...l=Pilot+SX+MXX3

Can you use the A032R's? 205/55 245/45 work well for me.

I can't because we have a treadwear limit of 140. That's why the OEM S02s are the best option right now. Tire Rack has an ETA of the 23rd, too close to race weekend.

Jason:

I'll take a look at the Michelin Pilots. Thanks for the advice.

FYI, I just read somewhere that BFG KD's will be available soon in smaller diameters (several 16" sizes and at least one 15")!
