Not sandy, but very dusty. People were crashing because it was a new track. The step off from the edge of the track is a bit hairy as well, so that had something to do with the amount of offs as well.

they cancelled the Koni practice it was so bad..... they blamed the sandy/dust for being on the course and causing the cars to slide off more than lack of course knowledge.... who knows....
