Alignment Suggestions for ButtonWillow
#11
Not to thread jack but... Im running my 18x10's on the street and have it slammed on those. When i track the car im running the stock 16's and have to raise the car significantly. My question is if i put the car on my race wheel setup, and go to get it aligned for the track, whats going to happen when i lower my car back down for street use? And secondly, when i raise the car back up for the next track day, will my alignment be the same, or different because of lowering/raising the car? Thanks

Its so hard to get a base like since you have after market fenders and what not, but I would ask billy since he takes measurements from the jacking points for consistency, he should be able to give you pointers on where your ride height should be.
As far as alignment, I would run at least 3 degrees front and rear. You can get away with a pretty good amount of rear camber since our cars have little torque to spin the tires. I'll be running -3.5/3.5 next time out, with like 8 degrees of castor

My place has a $110 3 year unlimited deal. You can go every week if you wanted to. I sit in the car when getting alignment.

What are you using to get more static camber? Js Racing ball joints?

antonov,
where do you get your alignments done at in sd? you're allowed to specify any alignment setting you want?

Of coarse you can specify, they let you sit in the car while its being aligned. Alignment Tech is John Mikulak (I think thats how you spell it). Its the Express Tire off Aero drive and I15.
