I might have if we didn't have a Honda Cup event tht weekend.

Funny they told me these valves rarely fail .

Mine didn't completely fail ... but it did spring a big ass leak. Let me know if you ever decide to make the trip up.

is anyone here also using the one way check valve? I've run both with the check valve and without it - with the valve it drops maximum oil pressure 5 to 10 psi above 6k rpm.

I hear that if you plumb the accusump after the oil filter you can use the built in anti drain back feature of the filter. I T'd in the accusump before the filter and do not have this feature. plus oil that gets in the sump is unfiltered.

I replaced the $15 brass Canton check valve with the aluminum Earl's (for AN fittings) which is larger/better design that should be less restrictive, but costs like over $100.

Yea the Canton check valve is a wuss 1/2" NPT.
You want a true AN-12 for no restriction on flow...same goes for a thermostat.

even Earl's -8 looks less restrictive than Cantons!
