2015 NASA TT Setup
#61
As a data point, I got an AP1 '00 at 220hp TTC reclass weight of 2830, TTC* at 2740, and TTC** at 2620.
Changing topics, is venting the hood/fenders a free point mod in NASA TT letter classes? Somehow I got it into my head that it is, but then I checked the rules (before I mangle my hood) and couldn't find any info on it.

For another data point, I gave the following HP and got their corresponding weight back from Greg in 2012. Car is an 05 and class requested was TTC base.
215hp @2770
220hp @2830
225hp @2895
Edited for correct weights - 1/21/15

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does the weight include the driver? Planning on doing a TTC re-class and just want to get all of the basics figured out before I do it. Thanks for all of the information so far!

Since I don't mind sharing, I got my 2015 reclass points from Greg. This if or TTC* and I asked for 220hp and 225hp with 1% variance.
TTC* 222hp @ 2775 lbs
TTC* 227hp @ 2840 lbs
Austin - double check your numbers since I'm almost certain greg copied/pasted your 2012 reclass for my email. I had
TTC 220hp @ 2830 lbs
TTC 225hp @ 2895 lbs
I'll do the math for you. Based on this it looks like TTC = 12.86:1 and TTC* = 12.5:1
I'm leaning toward TTC* 222hp/2775# (+7), wing (+4), springs (+2), shocks (+3), 225 R7s (+10-7=3) = 19
If I thought any other mods were worth it, I would do regular TTC (no *).

That's right. The TTC base numbers at 220hp and 225hp were the weights you had posted. I hadnt looked at that email in years. Trying to decide if I will run at TTC base or TTC*. Money is a little tight with trying to buy a house, and Id need an ECU and full exhaust to take full advantage of the TTC* hp. I wonder how light I could be at TTC* and 211whp.

For me, Im ok with sharing setup and reclass info. If I get beat (or if I beat someone), I want it to be because the better driver won, not because of some secret sauce nobody knows about.

Yeah same here. This is supposed to be all for fun right? Plus, my setup is based off of discussions with you and others so I might as well pay it forward.
