Current setup puts me in TTC with exactly 39 points but these new rules would give me 1 free point. I wonder if I could fit a 265 however checking the 6 pt tire options none seem to offer something in that size.

Current setup
Code:
AP1 +14
255 NT01 +8
BBK +2
I/E/TP +4
Shocks/Springs +5
FSB +2
Wing +4
if it were me I'd go back to stock swaybars and do an ecu for 3 points
I am using a VAFC controller to drop VTEC down for free. I fear driving with 255 square without a sway bar, maybe I could buy more spring and get by that way?

I've been thinking of how to switch it up and removing the sway bar was the first thing just need to get used to driving without one. Next step will probably be to bump the sway bar to the lowest setting get a feel for it and go from there. I have a Haltech PNP sitting on the shelf ready to go.

I had the same concern before I removed my Ankeny FSB. Actually found the balance to be fine but I did end up going to a bigger wing too. Definitely try it out.

New to NASA TT but am investigating if id like to fit in TTC. Can someone explain how the dyno reclass works? I assume your speaking of the AP2 and not the ap1?

For the dyno reclass you basically send an email to Gregg with 2 of the following 3 variables defined: hp, weight, baseclass. He will then tell you the third variable.

For example, ap1 with 200hp and want to be in TTC baseclass. He will tell you your min weight.

Once you have a dyno reclass you do not count any of the engine mod or weight points.

Engine mods have set point values, in some cars its worth taking points for a header/TP/intake ect. but in others, like the s2000. U can spend 10+ points on power for 10-15hp. Not worth it. But you can shave some weight, and some power, and get a dyno reclass (measure of dyno whp and min weight) and be reclassed for less points than the normal mods

Isn't VAFC a 3 point mod? According to C.3:

C.3 Aftermarket computer system (any non-BTM “stand-alone” or “piggyback”): +3 naturally aspirated, +10 forced induction

I really like the tire points change. Anything to allow those of us on a limited tire budget to be more competitive is a good thing.

The only thing I'd add to this is; there is a specific format to submit the request, and if you don't follow it exactly, he's not happy.

Ask me how I know

I still am bent out of shape that I have to take a hit on aero and a hit on hardtop if in tt3. Why wouldnt the hardtop fall under the aero hit?

How about hankook c71's are they really not on the same level as a6/7 or BFG r1's?

My car is TT2 now but considering dropping to TT3 to run less hp, with less weight, while keeping TQ around the same 260 ish. Talking to a tuner it seems this could be possible with my boost cutting bov/WG charger setup.

Also upgrading this yr the penske along with a full cage/cut/fuel safe and all other safety gear so I can do w2w a few times.
